Camera Position 66 : Memory and the Photograph

Human memory is a curious thing; sometimes it’s spot-on perfect, other times it’s altered by the passage of time. Photographs are a way that we can extend or enhance our memories and this episode is about a way that my memory was both rewarded and tested in the Italian mountain village of Scanno.

  1. Hi Jeff, I just wanted to pass along my appreciation to you for your podcasts. I’ve been a listener for about 1 year and really look forward to your shows. Keep up the great work.

    It can’t be easy doing a regular podcast, but you should know it is appreciated.

    Regards,

    MikeV

  2. Hi, Michael;

    Thanks for your comment post! I really appreciate it.

    I wish I had the time to put up more posts… I’ve got more topics in the hopper than I have time to make.

    Glad to know that you’re finding the podcasts useful.

    Great work on your site!

  3. Jeff,

    First let me say I love your podcasts. I appreciate you taking the time to do them. Lately I’ve been having a problem with your podcast that I’m not having with any others. They keep downloading again and again. Can you tell me why that might be?

    Thank you!

    Jerry

  4. Hi, Jerry;

    Thanks for your note and thanks for listening to the podcasts… I really appreciate that you’re listening and that you took the time to write.

    I’m frankly not sure what’s going on. You’re not the only person who has noted this and I’ve noticed it, too. I think it has something to do with the way the RSS feed is routed through Feedburner and sometimes Feedburner hiccups. I’ve tried to figure out what’s going on, and can’t for the life of me figure it.

    I’ll keep looking, though….

    Sorry for the inconvenience!

  5. Jeff:

    Please come back.

    I just finished listening to all your podcasts from the first to catch up. I’ve learnt so much. This is such an inspirational resource. The best for me were the “Zone” episodes. But all of them are great. I know this must be a lot of work along with your History podcast, teaching job and art work. But I do miss them. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Hi, Robert;

    Thanks for your comment! I’ve had an unusually busy summer, so I was “away from the mic” for a lot of it. But, I’ve got a list of topics in the hopper and hope to get back to a regular schedule now.

    -Jeff
